What OK Alerts is
- A scheduled phone check-in.
- A consented sequence for reaching chosen people after a missed response.
- A social coordination service designed to preserve ordinary privacy.
What OK Alerts is not
- Not an emergency service, medical alert, or 911 replacement.
- Not continuous monitoring or location tracking.
- Not professional caregiving, diagnosis, or medical advice.
- Not a guarantee that an Alert Mate or Backstop will answer.
Reliability limits
Calls and messages depend on working devices, power, networks, correct contact information, and provider availability. Human responses depend on each person’s availability and judgment.
Keep another emergency plan for situations requiring immediate or guaranteed attention.
Privacy by default
An OK check-in notifies nobody. OK Alerts does not provide a family activity dashboard or a stream of ordinary daily status updates. See the Privacy Policy for the information needed to operate the service.
Questions about fit or a service limitation can be sent through Contact. The Terms of Service contain the complete agreement.
